This was the third time I went to Memo’s for a burrito review. The first two times my Canon SD400 camera geeked out and corrupted the CF cards. A shiny new Fuji Finepix later, I am able to complete my review with ever-essential pictures.

The first two visits I ordered the Grande steak burrito. This time I ordered the Medium burrito due to less hunger and an interest in seeing what the value of each size was. Usually when one opts for the larger size, they are rewarded with better value for the money. This was not the case at Memo’s (see convoluted stats below).

Whatever size burrito you may decide to order at Memo’s (I obviously recommend the Medium), you will be treated to a very good meal. The steak had a smell and flavor like it was cooked on a BBQ grill. The burrito also contained lettuce, tomato, cheese, jalapeños, and sour cream. A lack of refried beans did not detract from the flavor at all.

Chips were fresh and very good. The salsa was very good; mild but with a little heat to it. A couple bottled salsas (red and verde) were also good. I enjoyed the semi-hot salsa verde on my burrito for a little variety.

I recommend Memo’s for its great steak burrito and excellent value (Medium size). Waiting for your food can be a little long, but it’s worth it.

I’ll start right off saying I wish Stones Bones was still at this location. I would much rather have had some ribs on this night than the poor excuse for a steak burrito I got at the House of Rio.

Chips arrived warm and unsalted with a good crunch. The salsa, though mild, had a very good flavor but unfortunately was too thin and runny to stay on the chips. One would need a Tostito Scoops-like chip to enjoy the salsa more.

The steak burrito contained beans, lettuce, tomato, and fat. Yes, there was fat and gristle in every bite of this rather unflavorful burrito. A junky fold job allowed beans and orange grease to spill out the rear end like a cat with diarrhea. No thanks.
