For some reason (something stupid like friendship I suppose) I went with my friend Sean to suffer through a Cubs game from one of the famous rooftops. Unfortunately, the Cubs won. Go Sox!

After the game and a few hours at Slugger’s it was time to catch the train home. But not before grabbing a burrito.

Being a stones throw from Wrigley and the Addison stop of the Red Line, El Burrito Mexicano undoubtably does incredible amounts of business. I promptly got my steak burrito to go to avoid listening to a few drunk Cubs fans slurring and spilling hot sauce and pop all over the floor (and to catch the train).

The burrito contained beans, lettuce, tomato, and cheese in addition to the steak. I added sour cream for 45¢. The burrito was on the bland side as the steak was dry and not that flavorful. None of this of course matters to the drunks that frequent this place.

The value rating took a hit as do all joints that don’t serve up chips and salsa with your burrito. It may be unfair, but I’m being consistent.

In the ever noteworthy words of Sean regarding this burrito, “It did its job.”
