Tucked in the back of the La Frontera grocery store are a small kitchen and a counter with a few stools. Typical taqueria fare is offered including tacos, gorditas, tortas, tostadas, and of course, burritos.

For $4.99 you will get a burrito with your choice of meat (asada, pastor, picadillo, chicharron, or pollo) plus beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, and sour cream. I found the steak flavor to be very good, albeit slightly greasy. The tortilla could have been a little fresher and more pliable, but was not off-putting. Both salsas were very good, although the red accompanied the burrito better with its smooth heat.

Regardless of stiff competition from El Mariachi to the north, Taqueria La Frontera is recommended for its solid steak burrito. Also of note, fresh chips and salsa are not available, most likely because they can be bought from various vendors in the store.
